T- name? unknown W- "our first fierce confrontation" shows the pair were already fighting before birth -  also birth itself'the tight red rope of love' Metaphor – the umbilical cord – the love bond between them. 'I wrote all over the walls' Could be a metaphor to show the words she screams while in labour, filling the room I- puts imageary of a never ending war, which and fight for love, 'tender circles'- never endings- two stanzas 'past' then 'present' setting the sence firstly then saying how much life has changed apart from this fight.
