What makes us human? Bodies grow minds that think personalities that make us an individual. emotions through which we react experiences and   influences that affect the people we are and the decisions we make.

What influences us: Parents School Tv Fashion Adverts Culture Music Family  Community Religion

We are different from animals because we are: intelligence- apply our knowledge to learning and reflect and think morality- know right from wrong Language- ability to read and write and communicate. 

Christians believe we were made in Gods image and we all have a conscience, a soul and are capable of a religious belief.

Christians believe were on this earth to : enjoy the world (Genesis) To obey God (Genesis) Stewardship of the world (Gen) To have sex and have children (Genesis) To serve god and live for him (Mark) To live in harmony with others (Mark)

Jews believe were on this earth to: Enjoy the world (Genesis) To obey God (Genesis) Stewardship of the world (Gen) to have sex and to have children (genesis) to preserve trees in time of war (Deuteronomy) To live in harmony with others (Leviticus) 

DOMINION- being in charge or the boss of something 

How should we care for the world?

Christians: Remind themselves in worship and celebrations of Gods provision and their responsibiltys in the world. Many christian organisations feel they have a responsibility to care for the environment and earth. Stewardship- to care and look after the world for God. Give an example of CHICO MENDES.

Jews: have the same ideas as Christians regarding caring for the world. Its important not to waste and to keep the environment clear of litter. jews say animals shouldnt be hunted and should be treated with concern and compassion. Festival of thanksgiving: sukkot: Build a shelter in their garden and eat and sleep in there to remind them how dependent they are on God and his creation. Tu B'shevat: reminds them how important trees are for human existence. Young trees are often planted.

JEWISH NATIONAL FUND:over the past century for JNF have planted over 240 million trees, built over 180 dams and resoivers and created more than a 1000 parks throughout israel to educate students around the world about Israel and the environment.
