Modeling in quantum computing
The outcomes obtained by mistake that resulted in a scientific discovery or advance.
Capable of predicting the behavior of a limited amount of molecules, these done with approximations
Mistakes
Need of long periods of time of work by chemists. Tedious task
Lower accuracy in the models
More accurate models as the need of approximations is decreased. It allow us to model nature as it is.
Trial-and-error strategies combined with hope but often with a lucky discovery.
Models that provide a useful feedback loop for discoveries in the lab but with simplifications that compromise accuracy.
Model complex behavior of molecules that allow us to explore a variety of reaction pathways. Understand the distribution of electron between atoms in a chemical bond, and how molecules will react.
It won't replace chemists, instead it will serve as a way to model processes that will be a step in the existent process of knowledge and discoveries.
Will be applied to discover new materials that produce less carbon emissions and are easier to recycle.
Useful for the new generations of chemists that will hace the opportunity to model molecules with higher accuracy.
Will always need luck to make important advances, but with quantum computers they are likely to be luckier.
