- 1What is the purpose of RAM?It is used to store program instructions and data that are currently being used by the processor.It is volatile.
- 2State what is meant by the term "Computer system"A computer system is a collection of hardware and software that works together.It also requires a input, output and processing.

- 5What is clock speed?Clock-speed is the speed which the processor operates.It is measured is Hertz.

- 7What is cache memory?An auxiliary memory from which high speed memory is possible.It stores frequently used instructions and data.

- 9Why are input devices needed?They are needed to send data and control signals to the computer.

- 11Why is secondary storage needed in a computer storageIts stores large amount of data and programs that are not running on a CPU being stored in the main memory.
