1CPUCentral Processing Unit
Contains: Processer, main memory and cache.
2RAMCPU memory that temporarily stores programs. Processor fetches data from here. Made from addressable locations. (Volatile)
3ProcessorFetches, decodes and executes instructions
4CacheHigh speed memory in the CPU.
Faster than RAM.
Improves CPU Performance.
5Clock SpeedMeasured in Hertz. How many processes per second.
Higher the clock speed, the faster the Processor.
6System BusesInternal circuits/wiring
7Fetch-Execute CycleInstructions are stored in RAM >
Fetched by Processor >
Decoded and executed.
8Dual Core / Quad CoreA CPU that contains multiple cores that operate independently.
9RAMRandom Access Memory
read/write Volitile
