- 1What is Memory Management?It is the operating system managing the transfer data between the CPU, RAM and the hard drive. It manages memory.
- 2What is user interface??It allows the user to control the computer functions without having to use computer code. It can be graphical (GUI) , like windows or text-based (no mouse)
- 3What is peripheral management??It manages the inputs and outputs connected to a computer, like a mouse, printer, keyboard.
- 4What is Multi-Tasking??It is when the operating system allows more than one program to be open at one time, so that the user can switch between programs easily.

- 19State one difference between RAM and ROM.RAM Is volatile, so the memory used by the programs that were running are erased when the computer is switched off. Whereas ROM is non-volatile, so the code and instructions held in the ROM cannot be changed or erased.
- 20Describe the differences between Open Source and Proprietary softwareProprietary software is owned by an individual or a company, there are also major restrictions on its use and it's source code is almost always kept a secret. But open source can be modified or enhanced by anyone.
