'Radiant in there glory'- this shows that the poultry shop is light, hope and Christmas Spirit. However there could be a dark side because the poultry shop could be radiant because they are gaining profit from those who cant afford it.
'Lets have the shutters up'- Shows he is trying to let in the light and Christmas spirit. - 3Scrooge'Solitary as an oyster'- he is hiding whatever is inside him with a small outer shell
'the windows were broken'- windows are supposed to be sturdy structures but they are broken. Windows of the school - 4Bob/ Cratchit'nobody said or thought it was at all a small pudding for a large family'- grateful, proud and accepting
'The clerk in the tank involuntarily applauded'- 'Tank' he is trapped because he is poor he has been dehumanised- animal in a cage. However, he still happy
