- 1Ubiquitous ComputingUbiquitous means ‘existing everywhere’. Processors can be embedded in any device, including clothing, appliances, vehicles, buildings and people, to connect them to the internet so that the data generated by the processors will be readily available.
- 2RFID Chips - Modern and Future UsesIt may be used in fridges which keep track of the amount of food you currently have and order more when you run out.
If you don't take the tag off clothes you buy when you go to leave the store an alarm will start.
Companies can also keep track of the stock they currently have and when the number of a cuertain item begins to deplete more is ordered automatically.
Another uses of RFID chips is a chip that is implanted in a pet and keeps track of it's location. - 3RFID Chips - How it WorksCurrently, objects within a ubiquitous computing environment usually contain radio frequency identification (RFID) chips. RFID is a technology that uses radio waves to transfer data to a tag on a person or an object so that the person/object can be identified and tracked. These tags contain information that is stored electronically and which can be transmitted.
