VBM	Voxel is a volume pixel used to measure the volume of a certain part of the brain automatic procedure
pixel counting	MIR 'sliced through' hippocampus creates a 2D picture analysed by one person who counted the pixels in each slice (measured volume by adding the pixels in each slice together) person was blind to whether they were a taxi driver or not
Results: VBM	Significantly more grey matter in both left and right posterior hippocampi of taxi drivers controls had more grey matter in the anterior of hippocampus
Results: pixel counting	total volume did not differ in control, right hippocampus anterior and body were larger Taxi drivers posterior in both were larger
Correlations	Positive: time spent as a taxi driver and the posterior of the RH Negative: time and volume of the anterior of the LH and RH
