Values	Beliefs and ideas that society see as important. Example: Manners.
Roles	Behaviour expected of an individual who occupies a social position. Example: Mother, Father, etc.
Rules	Regulations to be followed. Example: Set guidelines in a school.
Status	The position a person occupies in a particular setting. Example: High class, Middle class, Working class, etc.
Attitudes	Settled way of thinking/feeling about someone.
Mores	Custom norms and behaviours that are accepted to a society/social group. Example: Manners
Culture	Way of life in a society. Example: High Culture, etc.
Cultural Diversity	Difference found in a society. Example: food we eat in Britain. (Chinese, Indian)
Subcultures	Culture within a culture. Example: Emos, Scene girls, etc.
Cultural Hybridity	Cultures merging.
Globalisation	Compression of time and space." Example: Mcdonalds - Can find it in nearly every country.
High Culture	Products and activities which have a high cultural status (Seen as superior by some). Example: Ballet
Popular Culture	products enjoyed by the majority of the population. Example: Seen as popular right now. (Black and blue/white and gold dress)
Consumer Culture	Increasing available goods and services (construct identity and social status). Example: Youtubers who haul etc.
Global Culture	Products becoming universal.
Cultural Relativism	The idea that Cultural values, norms and behaviours may vary according to different societies.
Mass Capital	Idea that some people possess the appropriate norms, values and behaviours which lead to economic rewards.
Socialisation	Process of learning norms and values of the culture we live in. Example: GRS-starts in the family as we learn our gender roles.
Primary Socialisation	Learnt through the family. Example: Gender Roles.
Secondary Socialisation	Learnt through the media, peers and education.
