  1. RIDGE:

    • It is a feature of a beach where different waves high-tide lines and storm tides. Some beaches may have several berms each one representing a different high-tide level.
  2. ETD:

    • Erosion
      • Transportation
        • Deposition
  3. Spits:

    • A spit is a long, narrow finger of sand jutting out into the sea from the land.Sediments are usually transported along the coast by the process of longshore drift where then it becomes deposited at a point where the coastline changes direction or where a river mouth is found. The more sediments deposited,it slowly starts to form a spit away from the coast line.
  4. BAR:

    • A bar is formed as a spit grow across a bay joining up two headlands.
      • Bar is formed when 2 headlands are close and the longshore deposits material - small sediments gradually form a bar. This then makes a lagoon.
    • LAGOONS:
      • Area of water dammed by the bar-this will gradually be in filled by deposition.
  5. TOMBOH:

    • This forms when a mainland is connected to an island. At times of high tide the connecting area of land maybe submereged/covered up
