1. Solid State

   • Faster read/write speed than magnetic. Therefore apps will open quicker
   • Lower capacity than magnetic
   • Used in portable devices because if you drop it,it wont smash as easy because there are no moving parts like magnetic has

2. Optical

   • It is not durable and may not last a long time
   • Portable and cost effective. Therefore it can be easily passed around
   • Used in a computer game bought in a shop because it can easily be given to someone else

3. Magnetic

   • Used in a budget laptop because it is cost effective and has a high capacity for all sorts of things
   • slower read/write speed
   • Higher capacity than Solid state. Therefore there is more space for photos, videos and apps
