RAM and ROM
Is it volatile? RAM is volatile however ROM is not because it stores all the boot up instructions and losing that would mean the computer will not be able to boot up, RAM however is volatile because it only holds memory when using the computer meaning after it shuts down nothing is needed to be stored there and wiped
RAM is the hardware which holds all the running programs, ROM holds the boot up instructions
Volatile storage is storage that can be wiped after the computer turns off, This is why ROM isn't volatile
