   • It is not very durable.

2. Magnetic Storage

   • It has a larger capacity than Solid State.
   • It is cost effective.
   • It is not very durable.
   • It's Read/Write speed is slow compared to solid state storage.

3. Solid State Storage

   • USB Drive
   • SD Card
   • Read/Write speed is much faster than magnetic storage.
   • It is durable.
   • It is less cost effective.
   • It has a small capacity.

4. It is non-volatile storage. It is needed in a computer system to store your programs, operating system and files.

   • Non-volatile means that the data is deleted when the computer system has no power conected to it.
