1. Creating a website

   • First you have to create a plan/storyboard
     • Make sure this includes: your target audience, the name of your webpage, the colours you'll be using and the layout of your pages

2. HTML5

   • HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language
     • This is the base of coding a website
   • Tags
     • <p> - this is the opening tag for writing a paragraph
     • <h1> - the opening tag for writing a heading
       • Sizes go from 1-6, 6 being the smallest, 1 being the biggest
     • <body> - contains the visible page content
     • <title> - specifies a title for the document/ website
   • <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Page Title</title> </head> <body> <h1>This is a Heading</h1> <p>This is a paragraph.</p> </body> </html>
     • This is the main set-up for a basic heading and body on a website

3. CSS

   • CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets
     • This is used for the style of the webpage e.g. colour, font
   • Tags
     • color - defines the colour of the text being used. Note: the American spelling of 'color' being used
     • font-family - defines the font being used
     • font-size - defines the size of the font being used
