   • solid state storages are very durable but have a low capacity compared to optical
     • examples: sd cards , external hardrives , thumb drives and tablets

   • optical storage is easily portable and extremely cost effective but can be easily scratched compared to solid state
     • examples: cd's , DVD's and Blu rays.

4. magnetic

   • magnetic storages have a very high capacity of space and are cost effective compared to solid state but are less durable compared to solid state
     • examples: PC's , laptops

5. what do we use storage devices for?

   • we use them to store important things such as memories or classified work
