1. What is? The software is a colection of instructions that can be executed by a computer. This instruction will tell the computer what to do

2. We can classify the software in two big groups that are the System Software, and the applications. Those are the big groups and types of software that exist and we are going to talk about that in this presentation

5. There are two big groups in where we can classify the software. This groups are the System Software and the Aplications. We are going to talk more about this groups in this presentation.

   • System software is a type of computer program that is designed to run a computer’s hardware and application programs. If we think of the computer system as a layered model, the system software is the interface between the hardware and user applications.
     • Operative system. An operating system is a software program that enables the computer hardware to communicate and operate with the computer software. Without a computer operating system, a computer and software programs would be useless.
       • Some examples include versions of Microsoft Windows (like Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP), Apple's macOS (formerly OS X), Chrome OS, BlackBerry Tablet OS
     • utility programs are the ones that plays a supporting role for users and developers. Basic utility programs include file/folder managemen file search and compare, disk format and partition, as well as diagnostic routines to check performance and the health of the hardware.
       • Some of the examples of the utility programs (Utilities) include: Disk defragmenters, System Profilers, Network Managers, Application Launchers, Antivirus software, Backup software, Disk repair, Disk Cleaners
     • Drivers. is a group of files that enable one or more hardware devices to communicate with the computer's operating system. Without drivers, the computer would not be able to send and receive data correctly to hardware devices
       • The devices that need drivers for example are, car reader, controller, modem. motherboard chipset, network card, printer, scanner, sound card, tape drive, usb device, video card...
   • Aplications Application software is a type of computer program that performs a specific personal, educational, and business function. Each program is designed to assist the user with a particular process, which may be related to productivity, creativity...
     • Tex processor. is software or a device that allows users to create, edit, and print documents. It enables you to write text, store it electronically, display it on a screen, modify it by entering commands and characters from the keyboard, and print it. Of all computer applications, word processing is the most common.
     • Self publishing software. is the creation of documents using page layout software on a personal desktop computer. Desktop publishing software can generate layouts and produce typographic-quality text and images comparable to traditional typography and printing.
     • Presentation software is a software used to create a sequence of text and graphics, and often audio and video, to accompany a speech or public presentation.
     • music and sound software is any software that allows you to create, listen to, or manipulate sound files.
     • Web development sofware refers to building, creating, and an maintaining websites. It includes aspects such as web design, web publishing, web programming, and database management.
     • Spreadsheet software is defined as a type of computer program that helps a user perform numerical functions and analyze numbers through a computerized version of an accounting worksheet.
     • Database software is the phrase used to describe any software that is designed for creating databases and managing the information stored in them.
     • Browsers. is a software application for accessing information on the World Wide Web. When a user requests a particular website, the web browser retrieves the necessary content from a web server and then displays the resulting web page on the user's device.
     • Video editing is the process of manipulating video images. Video editing software can be used to record video, but is used more often in post-production design and editing raw footage in digital file formats. And the same with images.

6. Creative commons
