1. Domain names

   • the address of your website. It allows you to easily acces the website instead of manually typing in the IP address.
     • Example: www.Example.com
     • The domain name system then converts this domain into an IP address.
       • The server can then be contacted
         • The website is given to the user.

2. The purpose of a site map

   • Its a guide to creating your website
   • Ensures no confusion or misunderstanding takes place during the creation of the website
   • Easier for user to reach their destination faster.

3. Use of Hyperlink

   • Hyperlinks are used to connect two different documents to ensure that it is easier for the user to get to that particular website of their interest
     • EXTERNAL
       • External Hyperlinks allows the user to go beyond your website, and it allows them to access other websites created by others.
         • Downside is that the user may access it and find another website that is more useful to them. This could possibly mean that they might not return back to your website.
     • INTERNAL
       • Internal Hyperlinks allows the user to move within your website. So, if you put a link in page one that takes you to page two, that is an example of an Internal Hyperlink.

4. Navigation bar

   • Navigation bars tend to be put on the top of the website or the top corner of the website.
   • Used to help the user access content
   • Using Navigation bar, users do not need to type in their URL, but instead it is automatically taken care of by the navigation bar.

5. Page designing

   • Include a tittle that enables users to understand your website in a nutshell.
   • ensure that you research existing websites for. similar types of business
   • Another thing you must do is to make sure that you plan the layout of your website. Where does your Navigation bar go? (to the top right corner?).
     • build your wireframe.

6. Designing for diffrent browsers and devices.

   • right content
   • Maintain the order of importance
   • mobile friendly.

7. World wide consortuim

   • helps the world wide web work in its full potential
   • develop common protocols
   • created in the 1994s
   • build the web such that the content would reach to different parts of the world

8. Storage of data

   • amount of space on a web
     • made up of the total quantity
       • text files
       • images
       • scripts
       • databases
       • emails
       • other files

9. Methods of user interaction

   • to interest your user is to ensure that your website is easy to use
   • tittle should be easy to find and the less navigation there is the better it is
   • different colours
   • interesting to the audience
