   • Inputs
     • Ingredients and quantities
   • Process
     • The recipe or method
   • Outputs
     • What the finished product will look like

4. When designing an algorithm you need to decide how complex it will need to be

5. A flow chart shows the key steps in an algorithms

   • The start and end
   • The order in which the instructions are performed
   • The points where inputs and outputs occur
   • The point where decisions are made
