     • explain cyberattacts and how to avoid them
       • phishing
         • sending a fake email or message pretending to be from a bank or organisation which triks uses into trying to log on to a fake website and them stealing login details
       • malware including
         • ransomware
           • maleware thet encrypts users files and demands a ransom to decrypt them
         • botnets
           • a network of computers which contain malware allowing them to be controlled by a hacker
         • keyloggers
           • maleware that records every keypress and sends it to a hacker for analysis

     • explain the proccess and impact of
       • security software
         • often called antivirus software even though it deals with more than just a virus scans a computer for known maleware and removes it. must be kept up to date with the latest maleware definitions
       • white and grey hat hackers
         • white hat hacking is something that is done with the authorisation of the company baing hacked. the hacker produces a report of all the vunerabilities they found so that the company can fix them
         • grey hat hat hacking is done without the authorisation of the company but with good intentions often the company will be imformed of how the hacker was able to gain access
       • backups
         • backups keep a copy of important data on a different sytstem so that it can be restored if the original is damaged

     • altering data so that it can not be read by anyone other than the intended recipient
   • skill
     • encrypt and decrypt messages using a caesar cipher and a substitution cipher
     • use brute force and statistical attacks to crack simple cipher

     • a method of encrypting text

     • the unecrypted data

     • data without being given the key beforehand

     • the encrypted data

     • some imformation need to encrypt the data

     • crack a cipher by trying every key until sucsesful
