1. Definition

   • set of questions or other types of prompts

2. Types

   • Structured questionnaires: collect quantitative data, very specific information
   • Unstructured questionnaires: collect qualitative data, basic structure and some branching questions

3. Issues

   • The questions in the questionnaire must follow a logical structure , ranging from the particular to the general, in such a way that the respondent does not feel that he is answering the same thing over and over again, nor that the questions are trying to lead him to give an opinion on something specific . Therefore, the texts of a questionnaire must be clear, formal, with a direct and simple language, written as neutrally as possible.

4. Data Analysis

6. Limitations

   • * Risk of a high percentage of questionnaires without answers. * Almost systematic exclusion of people who cannot read or write. * inability to help the informant when they have not understood the questions or instructions. * Difficulty in controlling and verifying the information. * late receipt, especially in the postal survey, of many questionnaires sent after the indicated date or loss and non-return of the same.
