1. 3 MAIN PARTS

   • Labels are headings explaining the data.
   • Data is the text or numbers you type in.
   • Formulas are automatic calculations.

2. FORMULAS

   • The plus sign here adds up the cells A1 and B1.
     • =A1+B1
   • The minus sign takes away B2 from A2.
     • =A2-B2
   • The asterisk sign multiplies A3 by B3
     • =A3*B3
   • The forward slash sign divides A4 by B4.
     • =A4/B4

3. FUNCTIONS

   • The SUM function is used to add up the cells A1, E1 and everything in between.
   • AVERAGE will find the average of cells selected and everything in between.
   • IF functions make decisions.
   • MIN finds the smallest number from the selected cells.
   • MAX finds the largest number in the selected cells.

4. FORMATTING TECHNIQUES

   • Borders on cells.
   • Cells can be formatted.
   • Cells can be merged together.
   • Font can be changed.
   • Background can be filled.
