Selection and Sequence

1. Selection allows us to include more than one path through an algorithm.

2. Selection is a decision or question

3. The path through a program is decided by using a condition

   • The condition is decided by selection

4. Types of selection

   • If Then Else
     • looks for the correct option from two choices
   • Nested loop
     • A loop inside a loop
   • Case
     • Looks at the correct option from multiple choices.

5. In a sequence structure, an action, or event, leads to the next ordered action in a predetermined order.
