1. Factors that affect performance

   • GHz
     • The bigger the number the faster the CPU
     • Phones have lower amounts of Hz because they don't have a fan or cooling system
   • Close memory
     • The closer the memory the faster the fetch stage of the processing
   • More cores
     • The more cores there the more instructions the CPU can do at once

2. What is a CPU?

   • A CPU is the brains of the computer
   • It fetches a command then decodes and executes it
   • Often gets very hot when running
