   • Prevents harmful data entering your computer.
   • Used to help protect a computer network from intruders.
   • Controls which programs can send and receive data packets.
   • Used when program is trying to connect to another network.
   • A firewall controls if a file can or can't be sent or recived.

2. Anti-virus.

   • Quarantines any programs or files which are harmful.
   • should be used on email attachments and downloads.
   • Scans the computer periodically.
   • Protects against malicious software.
   • Needs updating regularly to make sure that it knows the latest threats.

   • Cypher.
   • Key.
   • Data packet.
   • Dycryption.
   • Privacy.
   • Network.
   • Enigma.
   • Caesar.
   • colussus.
   • Encryption is when something like a text is changed to a cipher like the Caesar cipher only you and the person you sent it to can see it.
   • We encrypt messages by using a cipher.
   • We decrypt by using the key that was used to encrypt the message that was recived.

5. Internet safety.

   • Look for the https in a website it means that the website is secure and your data packets are encrypted.
   • When buying a product online make sure to look at the reviews so you know if it's a scam.
   • You need to make sure that your passwords are at least 8 characters long and have upper case,lower case,numbers and special symbols.
   • Phishing is when a person (hacker) sends you an email witch requires your bank details then they'll steal all your money or put you in huge debt.
