The difference between nerves and hormones
  1. Nerves
    1. Very FAST message
      1. Act for a short time
        1. Very precise area
          1. Electrical message (from the electrical impulse)
            1. Some reactions require immediate attention (eg pain signals) therefore we need nerves. Hormones would be too slow.
    2. Hormones
      1. Much slower message
        1. Act for a long time
          1. More General area
            1. Chemical message
              1. But sometimes you get a longer response eg in shock Adrenaline is released causing fight or flight response where your bod is excited for action
