  1. Form
    1. Affirmative
      1. You speak English.
        1. I word in London.
        2. Negative
          1. always use the auxiliary "do/ does " for negations and the infinitive of the verb.
            1. Example with "do"
              1. I do not clean the room.
              2. Example with "does"
                1. He does not clean the room.
            2. Interrogative
              1. you need the auxiliary "do/does" and the infinitive of the verb.
                1. Do I play football?
                  1. Does he play football?
              2. Expresses an action in the present taking place once, never or several times.
                1. Uses of the simple present
                  1. To express habits, general truths, repeated actions or unchanging situations, emotions and wishes:
                    1. I work in London. (unchanging situation)
                    2. To give instructions or directions:
                      1. You walk for two hundred meters.
                      2. To give your opinion:
                        1. I like ice cream.
                        2. To talk about schedules:
                          1. The library opens at eight.
                          2. To give facts:
                            1. The earth circles the sun.
                          3. The spelling of the simple present
                            1. When the verb ends with "s", "sh", "ch", "x", "z" or "o" we add "es".
                              1. watch -waches
                                1. wash-washes
                                2. When the verb ends with "y" and there is vowel before it, you add "s", if there is consonant before it, you omit the "y" and you add "ies".
                                  1. Play-plays
                                    1. Cry- cries
                                    2. when the verb ends in a consonat other than "s, sh, ch, x, z" we add "s"
                                      1. Drink-drinks
