   Anotações:

   • Wont cause a shift in either fluid compartment. Treating Hypotension.

   2. NS 0.9%. D5W. LR

      Anotações:

      • D5- has calories to decrease catabolism. Once calories are depleted the fluid becomes hypotonic. Could cause Cerebral edema. Caution with Head injurys
      • LR contains Na+,K+,Ca+, Cl-. Ca+ can cause incompatibilities LR can be helpful in treating metabolic acidosis. Monitor for overtreatment leading to alkolosis

5. Hypertonic

   Anotações:

   • Interstital Edema.
   1. >300 mOsm/L
   2. Dextrose Solutions > 5%. Saline solutions >0.9%

      • Monitor for FVE
