   • Regions of inconsistency

   • Set of plausible hypothesis is the version space
   • Do not move H unless you have to
   • Positive instances force algorithm to generalise moving G up
   • Negative instances force G to move down meaning some general hypothesis removed
   • When only one hypothesis remains it has finished
