1. Systems life cycle models

   • Standard Life Cycle
     • Simplistic design
     • Each of the four stages can have their own independent life cycle
   • Waterfall
     • Completion of each phase prior to moving onto the next phase of the cycle
   • Prototyping
     • Uses early approximation of a final system
   • Spiral
     • Combines the features of the prototyping model and the waterfall model
   • Agile
     • Supports the assessment of project direction throughout the development
