     • Pre-PS fibers synapse with pterygopalatine ganglion
       • Post-PS fibers join CN V
         • Zygomaticotemporal n. of maxillary n. (V)
         • Lacrimal branch of opthalmic n. (V)
           • Lacrimal gland
         • Pterygopalatine n. of maxillary n. (V)
           • Minor palatine n.
             • Palatine glands within soft palate
           • Caudal nasal n.
             • Nasal glands
   • Chorda tympani n. exits petrotympanic fissure
     • Joins lingual branch of mandibular n. (V)
       • Pre-PS Fibers syanpse with sublingual ganglion
         • Post-PS fibers innervate sublingual salivary gland
       • Pre--PS fibers synapse with mandibular ganglion
         • Post-PS fibers innervate mandibular salivary gland
