1. Threats to computers and the data they hold.

   • Hackers
     • Unauthorised users are sometimes called hackers. These people access your computer to edit, copy or delete computer files.
     • Malware - Any computer program installed either deliberatley or accidentally on a computer with the intention of causing harm.
       • Viruses - Designed to disrupt the workings of a computer. Called viruses because they are designed to spred from one machine to another. Can be downloaded from websites or by opening a file attatched to a spam email.
       • Spyware - Monitor the ways the coputer is used and to report back to someone.Example - Keystroke software - Used to recored someones password being typed into a bank website.
