Stars
- Spend most of their life in the main sequence stage.
- When giants die they become white dwarfs, and eventually black dwarfs.
- After the main sequence they become giants or supergiants
- When supergiants die they make a neutron star or a black hole.
Nebulae
- Filled with tons of gas and dust
- Where stars are created
- They are the only way that stars are formed.
Galaxies
- Biggest things in the universe
- Each one contains hundreds of millions to billions of stars
- they are constantly moving because of the big bang.
H-R Diagrams
- Measures a stars brightness and heat.
- Heat is on the x-axis and it goes hottest to coldest from left to right.
- Brightness is on the y-axis and is called luminosity as well, it also goes brightest to dullest top to bottom.
