2.4 Computational Logic

1. BINARY

   • a representation of the presence of electricity
   • present or 'on': use 1
     • absent or 'off': use 0

2. LOGIC GATES

   • takes inputs and convert them to an output
     • change 1 or 0 states through use of logic gates
   • used to change bits and perform calculations within COM
     • created by using transistors
       • logic circuits can be made from these

3. TRUTH TABLES

   • output of logic gates can be shown through truth table
     • shows what output will be, based on inputs
