Algorithms

Algorithms

1. definition

   • an algorithm is a collection of operations performed in a finite amount of time to perform a specific job
   • Computer Science is the study of Algorithms

2. representation

   • pusedocode
     • easy to read and understand but slower then flow charts
       • as it is easier to understand its easier to debug
   • flow charts
     • faster but harder to understand
       • as it is harder to understand, its harder to debug

3. purpose

   • An Algorithm can perform tasks very quickly
   • An Algorithm can work out multiple problems at once
