Types of Malware

1. Trojans

   • Any malicious computer program which is used to hack into a computer by misleading users of its true intent.

2. Worms

   • A standalone malware computer program that replicates itself in order to spread to other computers.

3. Adware

   • a type of malware which presents unwanted advertisements to the user of a computer.The advertisements are sometimes in the form of a pop-up or in an unclosable window.

4. Spyware

   • Software that aims to gather information about a person or organization without their authority.

5. Viruses

   • A type of malicious software program that, when executed, replicates by reproducing itself.

6. Rootkits

   • A collection of computer software, typically malicious, designed to enable access to a computer or areas of its software that would not otherwise be accessible.
