access it. It is not stored on your computer; it’s hosted by someone else.

software

open source software is software that is free and available to everyone to download. They won't be official, and will most likely be remakes of existing software (e.g. Microsoft Word) but will be compatible with the original. Some advantages of open source software are:

Its free because the source code used can be adapted

and it is created by anybody

No licensing fees

·

You can copy and distribute it as much as you want

The file compatibility is good because you can save

files from one to another
