- Stomach: PROTEASE

- Pancreas: PROTEASES, LIPASE and AMYLASE

- Small Intestine: PROTEASES, LIPASE and AMYLASE

Where Enzymes are...

Where and What?

- Teeth: Chew food to allow swallowing (MECHANICAL DIGESTION)

- Salivary Glands: Produce SALIVA which lubricates food for swallowing

- Oesophagus: Pushes food down to stomach by muscular action (PERISTALIS)

- Stomach: Elastic storage sack, churns food; some digestion and absorption of water

- Liver: Major chemical processing plant for whole body. Produces BILE which is passed to the GALL BLADDER

- Gall Bladder: Concentrates BILE which helps digest fat in SMALL INTESTINE 

- Small Intestine: Major site of digestion and absorption of food

- Pancreas: Produces ENZYME rich juice for digestion in the Small INTESTINE

- Large Intestine: Reabsorbs WATER from undigested food and waste

- Rectum: Compacts undigested food and waste to form FAECES
