Another idea i think is worth mentioning is the vicious circle of violence, which cannot be broken until Athena, the goddess of wisdom, steps in.
Also mentioning that Odysseus "wanders" for 20 years metaphorically recovering from his PTSD. As well wandering is a huge thing in the Odyssey. Athena instructs Telemakhos to wander the seas. Odysseus wanders for 20 years. Peneolope metaphorically wanders by weaving a shroud.
As well hospitality is another huge motif. Every civil people does not curse the gods and often honors them. As well those who dont honor the gods are savages. Like the kyclopses, suitors, and more
