1Central Processing Unit (CPU)The main component of the computer. Carries out all the processing by fetching and executing instructions.
2Clock SpeedThe speed which the processor carries out instructions, measured in Megahertz (MHz) or Gigahertz (GHz).
3CoreEach single processor circuit capable of fetching and executing instructions.
4BitSmallest unit of data. Can take the value of '0' or '1'.
5BinaryBase 2 numbers. Only digits '1' or '0' are allowed.
6ByteSmallest addressable unit of data in a computer. Usually 8 bits.
