    Proclamation of 1763
    This forbade colonists from moving west of the Appalachians, to prevent conflict with the Native Americans. Britain benefitted because there was less conflict with the Native Americans. Native Americans benefitted because it helped their land stay free from white settlers. Colonists were angry because it took away their ability to move west, and nullified, or invalidated, land claims in the region.
