- Remember to read through the questions first -it often can help concentration.
- Read the questions before texts to e.g. check line number.
- To help understand the question underline key words.
- TOP TIP: e.g. Language Paper 1 colour code each question with 4 different highlighters - by bracketing of the line numbers start to finish and highlighting key information you could use in your answer then write which question highlighted at the side.
- ...or at the start read the text and very briefly, in a sentence, write down the main points of each paragraph from the extract.
- However, it is important to read the question twice and highlight key words and summarise paragraphs etc. but don't spend to long planning.
