- An equilateral triangle has all side the same length and all interior angles equal. Therefore there is no "largest" or "smallest" in this case. All sides are congruent and equal.

- Caption: congruent
-
- Isosceles triangles have two sides the same length and two equal interior angles. Therefore there can be two sides and angles that can be the "largest" of the "smallest."

- Caption: two sides of equal length
-
- The scalene triangle as no congruent sides. Each side must have different length.

- Caption: sides unequal in length
-
- Has three acute angles, an acute angle measures less than 90 degrees.

- Caption: acute triangle with less than 90 degree measurments
-
- Has an obtuse angle, an obtuse angle has more than 90 degrees.
- Since the total degree in a triangle is 180 degrees, an obtuse triangle can only have one angle that measures more than 90 degrees.

- Caption: In the picture the shaded part is the obtuse angle that distinguishes the triangle.
-
- Had one 90 degree angle.

- Caption: where the box nornally is, is the right angle
