OBLIGATION MODAL VERBS

Must shows us that the obligation is imposed by the speaker

You must be here 5 minutes before the exam

Have to is used to express obligation imposed by another person rather by the speaker

You have to listen to your teacher, he is speaking !!!

PROHIBITION MODAL VERBS

Must not or Mustn't are used to express that something is not permitted

You musntn't throw your trash on the floor

Do not have to or Don't have to is used to show prohibition more in a moral way

You don't have to bring food to the party, but if you want to you can
