User Interfaces
Karten in diesem Stapel (5)
- 1Command Line InterfaceUsers type instructions using a special set of words and symbols. Used in the early days of computing and is now only really suitable for skilled IT users as commands need to be known
- 2Menu-Driven InterfaceA menu of options is displayed and the user selects one of them. More user-friendly than the Command-Line Interface as commands do not need to be remembered.
- 3Graphical User Interface (GUI)Small pictures are used to represent options that the user can select
- 4Voice InterfaceA microphone is used, into which the user speaks a command to the computer. Sophisticated software analyses the speech patterns and executes the given command.
- 5Special DevicesSpecial devices include things like braille keyboards, 'concept keyboards' with overlays over the keyboard (Like on McDonalds' counters), touch screens, puff-suck and foot devices to allow people with no arms to operate computers.
