Personal aims = what we would like to improve or focus on in our teaching. handle materials and teaching aids

Objectives= not always go at the beginning of a lesson

Procedure = teacher asks ss. to summarize what they have done

Stage aims= to check ss. understanding of what they have read and activate language

Subsidiary aims show the language or skills learners must be able to use well in order to achieve

the main aim of the lesson

Main aim: describes the most important thing we want the learners to achieve in a lesson or sequence of lessons

Depending on your objectives the teacher chooses the materials

Learners of all ages find it helpful to know why they are doing things.

Procedures :what the teacher and learners do at each stage of the lesson.
