1. Waterfall

   • Sequential design process, used in software development
   • Rigid step-by-step approach to project management
   • Phases have well-defined start and end point
     • Identifiable deliverables
     • Each stage begins when the previous has been completed

2. Iterative

   • Prototyping
     • Tested and reworked as necessary until an acceptable prototype is finally achieved
   • Loops around the stages of SDLC
   • Minimal planning in favour of rapid protyping
   • Lack of extensive pre-planning generally allows software to be written faster
     • Easier to change requirements

3. Incremental

   • Agile
     • Combination on iterative and incremental process models
     • Focus' on process adaptability and customer satisfaction
       • Rapid delivery of working software product
   • Product is designed, implemented and tested incrementally
   • A little more is added each time until the product is finished
   • Involves both development and maintenance
