1. A input device captures data and sends it to a computer system to be processed

   • Automatic Input device- it doesnt require human intervention,once it has been set it
     • soem types are:
       • sensor
         • webcam
           • microphone
             • barcode reader
               • card reader
               • optical mark reader

2. A output device displays or uses the information that comes out of the computer system

   • sound- a way that information from the output can be made availiable for users.
     • examples: headphones,buzzers,speakers
   • Light: used to display output information
     • Examples: LED,LCD,Touchscreen, Screen,CRT
   • movement and control-mostley used in computer systems eg. a robot arm ,also the vibration in a gaming conroller is a form of motion
     • examples: motar,server,switch,actuator

3. Manual input device requires a human hand to control it

               • mouse

4. printed material-images and text can be outputed by using a printer or screens , printers produce a permanent hard copy of the image or text
