1. Stronger, lighter building materials

   • New cosmetics (deodorant) as they don't leave white marks on skin
     • Lubricant coatings - reducing friction eg. artificial joints, gears...
       • They're conductors - electrical circuits for computer chips

2. Industrial catalysts - huge SA to volume ratio

   • Sensors to detect one type of molecule and nothing else (eg. water purity sensors)
     • Delivering drugs right to the cells where they're needed
       • Silver nanoparticles can kill bacteria
