2. Appearence and Reality

   • Act 1 Scene 5: "looks like the innocent flower but be the serpent underneath."Partnership is clear-Lady M has dominance and gender roles expectations for men/women are reverse

3. Religion

   • In Act 2 Scene 2 Macbeth can't say amen and saying murdered sleep, lady m dissmisses halluncations and tells him to return daggers. "Give me the daggers the living and the dead are but pictures." Chatises him and undermines masculinity. Aftermath of murder, Lady M not witness m has. Beliefs in sin/heaven and disturbance of mind with visual hallucinations/.

4. Guilt and Conscience

   • In Act 3 Scene 4 it's the last time that they are seen together. And is the opposite of their relationship in previous scenes as M now has the control and Lady M is very- he has no morals left. "We are yet but young in deed." End of scene and rythming couplet; start at tyranical rule-more murders to come. The brooding presence of murderous intention destros wheateber is good-M beyond saving.
